These paintings are part of my Nurture Collection, my first collection in almost two years. In this time, we’ve dealt with grief and anxiety and shifts towards a new normal that we couldn’t have imagined. Nurture is a small, thoughtful, curated collection that is all about what we need now—space, joy, and the interplay of raw with the beautiful.
Each Nurture painting is an original. It was painted in gouache and acryla gouache with watercolor pencil accents on 300 pound Arches watercolor paper with deckled edges. Everything about this collection is about what fills us up. Saturated colors and textured, luxurious paper with rough edges. Nature not just as she is, but as we can see her with a little imagination. Oh, and titles from feel-good movies from the 80’s and 90’s. Because fun.
All the paintings in the Nurture Collection were designed to coordinate. So feel free to pick more than one. They’re also small, standard sizes so they’re easy to frame and to find a perfect home for in your home.
